September will be a busy month for Joomla!. We will be attending the O'Reilly EuroOSCON open source convention in Brussels. Our German community has also informed us about their first Joomla! Day, this will be the third Joomla!Day organised this year following the NL and UK, and the Italian community is organising their first meetup.
O'Reilly EuroOSCON Convention, September 18-21, 2006
The Joomla! project will showcase the upcoming 1.5 beta at the O'Reilly Open Source Convention at the Le Plaza Hotel in Brussels, Belgium on September 20th, 2006. This convention is one of the largest Open Source conventions in Europe and expects over 800+ attendees from around the world.
The Joomla! development team lead Johan Janssens, Henk Van Cann (organisator of the Dutch Joomla!Day) and Laurens Vandeput (Google Summer of Code student) will be on hand to take your questions and to educate attendees. The Joomla! team will also show a first preview of the Summer of Code 2006 results.

Joomla!Day Germany, September 29-30, 2006
Joomla!Day Germany will be held in Bonn on September 29th and 30th, 2006. This event expects to be one of the largest Joomla!Day events yet. The event is divided into two days, the first day is focused on new users, businesses, web agencies and professional Joomla! users looking to network with peers and get educated on Joomla!. Attendees will be able to attend lectures on a variety of Joomla! topics or attend the Power Workshop.The Power Workshop is a three hour tutorial on how to build Joomla! template and components.
The second day of the event is dedicated to the Joomla! community where attendees will hear speaker presentations, share Joomla! implementation experiences, and take the opportunity to make new contacts in the Joomla! community. This is your opportunity to engage and collaborate directly with the Core Team, Working Group Members, Forum Admins and the other professionals working to make the Joomla! project even more successful.
This is an open event available to anyone in or outside the Joomla! community who wants to get interact, collaborate and get educated, as you might guess, only in German.
Italian Joomla! Meetup, October 1, 2006
The Italian Joomla! community is presenting Joomla! at the OpenEXP Event on September 29th and October 1st in Cerea (Verona). The October 1st event is followed by a Joomla! Meetup for all Italian Joomla! users. The meetup program includes :
